10 places to see in 10 activities in France (outside Paris!)
Hello guys! Bonjour !
Tempted to add France to your tour to Europe? You're not the only one! With 84 million visitors a year, France sure has a lot of great places to boast! Here's a top ten of the best activities and places to see / do in France, all outside of Paris.
1- Beaujolais Nouveau in Burgundy (Thursday the 17th, November 2016)
Or wine tasting in general. Oenotourism in France has been an ever growing activity. Visiting the countryside and discovering a local product are always enjoyed.
Places that offer a great experience:
2- Saut à l'élastique - Gorges du Verdon
Bungee jumping is not the appanage of France, of course, but there sure are some great places to try! The Gorge du Verdon and its bridge above the river Artuby are the promise of 182m of sensations!

4- Watch a football game - Place de la Victoire
If you're ever in France during a Fifa World Cup or the RBS 6 Nations, try watching the game from La Place de la Victoire in Bordeaux. An incredible boulevard where la rue Sainte-Catherine meets Bordeaux's busiest streets. A crowded place where you'll sure make some great friends!

5- The Abbaye of Mont Saint-Michel
Widely known across the world, the semi-island of the Mont Saint-Michel deserves its reputation. There, you will find a quiet and surreal nature with a charm from the past that only sacred place as such hold. Must-see: early in the morning, you can see the employees at La Mère Poulard at work. And it's definitely worth a look!

6- La dune du Pyla + a day at l'Île aux oiseaux - Arcachon
Well, I can't help but be biased here. I was born 2km away from the dune... Le banc d'Arguin, Arcachon, le Cap Ferret, are famous for their beaches, pine tree forests and probably for a great shopping session, but the best of all, would be to take a boat (a pinasse obviously) for a memorable day at l'Île aux oiseaux!
7- Skiing in Le Grand Bornand
France is a haven for anyone who enjoys skiing, surfing etc. Try the French Alp, Le Grand Bornand certainly is one of the most welcoming places in the area at a reasonable price.
8- Canoë Kayak - Ardèche
The country certainly has enough rivers! Most places you'll go, you should find a kayak option nearby. Try the one in Vallon Pont d'Arc, Ardèche, though, for its gorgeous sightings.

9- Visiting Chateau d'Ussé, Indre et Loire
Finally, and because I must include at least one castle, why not Château d'Ussé? It's 500 years old monument, famous for being the "Sleeping Beauty's castle", that inspired Charles Perrault his fairytale!
